Two-thirds of Africa’s vital conservation lands lie outside national parks and face severe neglect. We empower communities in Kenya, Mozambique, and Namibia with tools, training, and resources to restore habitats, protect wildlife, secure water, and create sustainable livelihoods.

Millions of square kilometres of conservation areas in Africa fall outside of national parks, with many in community areas and game management areas, providing critical habitats for wildlife and livelihoods for millions of people. Often under-resourced, neglected, and degraded, these wildscapes are at risk of being lost forever, with catastrophic consequences for the wildlife and people that depend on them for survival and livelihoods.
We forge solutions with the communities living in Africa’s priority wildscapes, sharing tools, knowledge, and resources, including planning, governance training, landscape management, and enterprise development, to help reverse the degradation of these ecosystems so that people and wildlife can thrive, not only alongside, but because of each other.
