The Open Table Network (OTN) creates and supports safe, inclusive Christian communities where LGBTQIA+ people are not just welcomed; they belong. We’re raising funds to support and grow this UK-wide network of 40+ communities offering affirming spaces to connect, explore faith, and reduce isolation.

LGBTQIA+ people still face exclusion and harm in many churches. In 2025 we have seen legal and political challenges to the rights and protections of trans, non-binary and intersex people. Many now feel significantly less safe in public spaces, including churches. This rejection and (sadly) legitimate fear fuels mental distress, isolation, and a loss of spiritual home. OTN exists to change that - to show that LGBTQIA+ people can belong in faith communities, exactly as they are.
OTN builds and supports faith communities that are unconditionally inclusive of LGBTQIA+ people. We provide practical help, training, and peer support to local churches and leaders, helping them create safe, affirming spaces. 92% of members surveyed said being part of an Open Table community increased their sense of belonging, 89% said Open Table provided a safe space for them, and 87% felt less isolated and more socially connected than they did before joining an Open Table community.
