We have seen an increased need for early support and advice from bereaved parents, children and young people particularly over the last couple of years. Edward's Trust has always offered holistic bereavement care and this often involves long term support and counselling for those facing the most difficult bereavements. We know that early practical help, support and advice are increasingly needed for bereaved individuals already experiencing significant challenges and difficulties in their lives.

The early advice and support service is an immediate response to bereaved individuals and offers the practical help and guidance that is needed. Without this specialist and expert service many bereaved individuals would struggle to navigate the immediate impact of the grief both emotionally and practically. It helps people express their feelings and grief and discuss their concerns about managing the many challenges they face in their grief and also with the grief response of their children.
