The Anglican Communion Fund is raising funds to enable the Episcopal Church of Sudan to distribute humanitarian relief to the Christian community in the midst of the current war, supporting the practical needs of the community even as it continues to provide pastoral care.

Sudan is currently the world's most severe humanitarian crisis due to ongoing conflict between government forces and militia. Since April 2023, over 12 million people have been displaced, with millions more fleeing the country. Access to food, clean water and medical care is extremely limited, and distribution of humanitarian aid is hindered by insecurity, funding shortages and blocked routes. The small Christian population (around 5% of the population) is particularly vulnerable.
The Anglican Communion Fund is supporting the Christian population in Sudan affected by the ongoing war. As the conflict continues to devastate communities, we are enabling the Church to deliver cash disbursements through its organised network to enable the purchase of food, clean water and WASH services. This is helping to reduce hunger, prevent disease, and restore dignity to displaced families.
