1,000 people are diagnosed with cancer each day, 1-in-4 will lack support from family or friends during treatment & recovery because they are too busy or live too far away, this has a detrimental impact on their mental health. In partnership with hospitals & cancer centres we deliver donated letters to people living with cancer. Written by volunteers the letters aim to alleviate the isolation & loneliness experienced by a cancer diagnosis. Last year we delivered 13,500 donated letters nationwide
We support people living with cancer who have become isolated and are in need of connection and care to reduce social isolation and poor mental health. Our 'Donate A Letter' programme supports people to write anonymous letters to those receiving cancer treatment. Letters are handed out in hospitals or cancer centres by nurses and our charities partners, or people can request to receive letters at home. Reducing isolation and poor mental health by spreading joy and hope by building connection
