Hear Me Out uses music and creativity to support people with lived experience of immigration detention and asylum. We run workshops, mentoring, and performances to build confidence, foster community, and amplify unheard voices.

Beneficiaries
We address the isolation, trauma, and marginalisation faced by people in or affected by immigration detention and the asylum system. These individuals often lack access to creative outlets, community connection, and emotional support. Our work offers dignity, voice, and belonging through music—enabling people to express themselves, build confidence, and connect with others, while also challenging public misconceptions and fostering empathy through shared creative experiences.
We run creative workshops, mentoring, and performance opportunities in detention centres, asylum hotels, and the wider community. Through music-making, personal support, and public sharing of stories, we help individuals build confidence, resilience, and connection with others. Our work empowers participants to find their voice, develop skills, and feel less alone—while also encouraging dialogue and understanding between migrants and host communities.
