Hospice in the Weald provides care and support to adults and children with a terminal or life-limiting condition, and their families, in West Kent and East Sussex. Each year, we provide emotional support alongside compassionate clinical care to over 2,200 people. The cost of our services has been increasing by more than inflation to £9m a year. The festive period is a time when many people receiving palliative and end-of-life care want to share time with loved ones, creating lasting memories.

It costs £9m pa, or £25,000 a day, to fund all of our services every day. Every day we make the lives of those we support easier at a difficult time; we manage pain to make patients more comfortable; we enable people to stay at home in familiar surroundings; we facilitate special events and we provide loved ones with emotional support. £100,000 would fund all our services over 4 days of the festive season. Our target is to raise £100,000 in 7 days to fund 4 special days.
