We’re helping reverse centuries of woodland decline by creating a huge native broadleaf forest, protected now and for generations. Join the ‘Big Forest Plant 2025’ and donate to help our small team plant 100,000 trees this winter – creating habitats for wildlife and green spaces for us all.

The UK is among the most nature-depleted countries in the World. Woodland cover in Britain is critically low with just 13% tree cover (the 2nd lowest in Europe) and only 7% of native woodland in good ecological condition. Our once-thriving forests are teetering on the brink of collapse. As habitats decline, 1 in 6 UK native plants and animals are threatened with extinction. Our communities are also increasingly disconnected from nature, and need local green spaces to relax, recharge and thrive.

One tree at a time, we’re planting and protecting a vast new native broadleaf forest - creating space for nature at scale, saving threatened plants and wildlife, building our resilience to climate change, and reconnecting people with nature. This winter we hope to plant 100k, creating over 125 acres of new woodland. Woodland creation can only be done in winter when trees are dormant. From December to March, it’s a race against time to get roots in the ground.
