Domestic abuse and its effects can be destructive, yet it remains an issue which is hidden, stigmatised and one which makes for uncomfortable conversation. We know that 1 in 5 children will be affected by domestic abuse. Yet a lack of funds and resources can mean that many children are not given the help and education that they need. At any one time, the Dash charity can have around 40 children on our waiting list, desperately in need of our support. This Christmas, please help us to help them.
With your help, we will be able to help more children and young people who have experienced Domestic Abuse. Our ultimate aim is to see our younger generation, whether children or young people, well-equipped with the emotional and practical skills to navigate the challenges through life, in their current life and in the future, as well as ensure that they are safe from any dangerous situations. We want to help children and young people feel more empowered and break the cycle of abuse.
