Young people growing up in low-income households often face challenges that affect their wellbeing, confidence and chances of succeeding in school. Research shows 70% young people who are eligible for Free School Meals face more challenges to achieve academically. Many also struggle with anxiety, low self-belief, and limited access to opportunities to explore their strengths and talk to a trusted adult outside their family or school about their aspirations.
We believe positive futures begin with self-belief. Our award-winning, youth coaching programmes provide personalised one-to-one coaching, skill workshops and two inspirational trip days over 12 months to develop young people's key skills and increase their motivation and engagement in school, whilst supporting them to identify how to achieve their goals and aspirations. We will support 320 young people aged 8-18 year olds across London and the South East of England.
