We estimate there are up to 14,000 resettled refugees and people seeking asylum across the South West living with severe trauma from war, torture, persecution and dangerous journeys to get to the UK. Many cannot access NHS services due to long waiting lists, because services aren’t designed with their needs in mind, or because people with suicidal thoughts or severe trauma are simply turned away. In order to safely rebuild their lives these people need specialist trauma care in their community.

We provide free specialist refugee trauma therapy across the South West to improve the mental health of refugees. Our skilled therapists offer safe, confidential support that helps people recover from trauma, improve wellbeing, and build new lives with hope and dignity. We create consistent, compassionate spaces where people are heard, supported, and valued. In doing so, we push back against hate with humanity, courage and connection. and it works.
