Life changes immeasurably for dementia carers. It’s hard coming to terms with slowly losing your loved one, while also worrying about what might happen next and how you’ll cope. We are here to support carers to help them navigate the complexities of caring for someone with dementia.

There are nearly 1 million people with dementia in the UK and two-thirds live at home. Most are supported by unpaid family carers who face isolation and a lack of support, which many describe as ‘overwhelming’. Dementia carers are consumed by the responsibilities required of them. The physical and emotional toll of their role means they often struggle to enjoy the time they have left with their loved one.
Our Carer Support Services provide vital guidance and advice to people caring for a loved one with dementia. This comes via our multi-disciplinary team comprising clinical psychologists, counsellors, dementia nurses, social workers; benefits advisors and advice and advocacy specialists. The support we give eases the practical and emotional burden on dementia carers, so they can have more time and headspace to enjoy the remaining precious moments with the person they care for.
