From startups to social enterprises, innovators are solving today's climate challenges. Working with communities to lower emissions and tackle poverty and inequality. Creating solutions like cheap solar energy for Africa's refugee camps, zero carbon schools, or regenerated urban parks. But without recognition, investment and political support, these solutions won't grow fast enough. The hardest hit will be marginalised people - those who did least to cause the climate crisis.
For 25 years, Ashden’s awards and programmes have scale up bold and inclusive climate innovation in the UK and Global South. We help innovators secure investment, strengthen their operations, share their knowledge and learn from others. And we showcase groundbreaking solutions to policymakers and financiers, so they will deliver the systemic change needed to help these solutions thrive. Because we know these inspiring, proven solutions are the pathway to a safe and prosperous tomorrow.
