As Spitalfields Music approaches our 50th birthday, we're returning to our musical roots. Children deserve the best possible start in life, and that includes musical opportunities, so we're working with schools and in communities across Tower Hamlets to offer once-in-a-lifetime musical memories.

Our children deserve the best start in life. Memories to last a lifetime, and opportunities to awaken their creativity. Sadly, not all young people in Tower Hamlets have that chance. Life is tough for our youngsters, and sometimes play and music are lacking. Schools are doing a great job, but they need help too.
Over our 50th birthday celebrations, we've set ourselves the target to work with 50 schools across our home borough. That means that at least 1,500 children will have the chance to make music and new friends as we bring together groups of youngsters for the much-loved Big Sing project, and continue with our open-access singing group, New YVC. We provide a safe space for young people to build confidence, explore their creativity, and play with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
