This winter, over 6 million UK households will be trapped in the grip of fuel poverty. As the colder weather hits, many people are unable to heat their homes and keep their families safe and warm. Fuel poverty is a national crisis – leaving too many not knowing if they can afford to heat their homes or put food on the table. Here at National Energy (NEA), we believe that it doesn’t have to be this way – a warm, safe and healthy home is a basic human right, not a luxury.
NEA is on a mission to end fuel poverty. This winter, we will provide a lifeline to people unable to keep their homes safe and warm by: • Delivering personalised, expert advice enabling people to reduce costs and improve comfort • Providing immediate, practical support through hardship funds • Supporting more people to maximise their income and access financial support • Campaigning, advocacy and awareness-raising work which aims to affect long-term change and influence policy
