Over Christmas, many LGBTQ+ people rely on their chosen families to find moments of hope and joy. We need essential funds to connect isolated members of our community together, help people find their chosen family and provide safe, warm spaces for LGBTQ+ people to celebrate the festive season.

Family estrangement, isolation and loneliness; many LGBTQ+ people face estrangement from their biological families, leaving them alone and isolated over Christmas. This is especially difficult for older LGBTQ+ people, and people coming out later in life who can find it more difficult to connect with others within their community. LGBTQ+ people also experience disproportionate levels of mental health issues and homelessness, making them more likely to lack access to safe spaces.
Through services like our community café, national helpline service, seasonal events, Pride in Ageing programme and Festive Feast gathering we provide LGBTQ+ people with opportunities to form meaningful community connections in safe spaces. Through our essential health and wellbeing services, we directly address inequalities and help LGBTQ+ people to thrive. This festive season, we want to celebrate chosen families, providing safe spaces for connection and celebration.
