The climate crisis is escalating, emissions from flying are sky-rocketing but governments are backing an increase in flights and airport expansion. We need to stop flying towards climate breakdown. We’ll coordinate a movement of local airport opposition groups to counter this and protect our future.

Scientists say we have barely two years left to keep global heating below 1.5 °C. Yet aviation - the most polluting and unequal mode of transport, with just 1% of people producing half its emissions - is on track to triple passenger numbers by 2050 and add hundreds of airports. We’re told these projects are essential to economic growth despite research showing otherwise. Instead, they threaten our prosperity and future. We must stop this destruction and build a world where everyone can thrive.
It’s time to put an end to airport expansion and secure a fair future for us all. By connecting groups across the world our network builds power locally, nationally, and internationally. Through this project we’ll work together to campaign creatively, to offer education and training, and to offer legal support among other things. We’ll build power to put public pressure on decision makers to reduce air traffic and create a fairer transport system.
