Reading is the 3rd least equal city in the UK (www.centreforcities.org). We work with underserved communities to reduce health and social inequalities, build stronger more connected communities and give a voice to the unheard. Many of the people we support have experienced trauma, faced significant challenge and are educationally or economically disadvantaged. We see the challenges people face, and we seek to help them to improve their situations.
Our work creates opportunities, reduces isolation, supports people to overcome barriers to inclusion and achievement, and helps them to thrive. We are passionate that local people should feel empowered to help themselves and their community and we support them to do just that. We take a holistic approach addressing the unmet needs of everyone we seek to help. Our services increase confidence, resilience and independence enabling people to make and sustain positive life choices.
