Too many young people are locked out of work: not because they lack potential, but because of who they are or what they’ve been through. GMYN supports care-experienced, disabled and neurodivergent young people to access the world of work. With your help, they can take the vital first step.

Too many young people (YP) are struggling to find their place in the world of work. Care-experienced YP are three times more likely to be out of education, employment or training. Disabled and neurodivergent YP face extra barriers like inaccessible recruitment, bias and poor support. The YP we work with often face this journey alone, without the safety nets others rely on. Behind the stats are real young people navigating trauma, low confidence and fear of rejection.
GMYN’s work readiness programme is proven, personal and powerful. Every YP is supported by a trusted youth worker who helps them build confidence, develop skills and raise their aspirations. We offer: - Group sessions: teamwork, communication and problem-solving - 1:1 career planning and emotional support - Paid work placements and world of work visits - Trauma-informed practice We also help employers be more inclusive. It’s not just about getting a job. It’s about feeling ready for it.
