From clampdowns on the right to protest and discrimination in policing, to the criminalisation of the poorest in society, people's human rights are increasingly coming under attack. At Liberty we’ve seen how a lack of accessible legal information and complex, fast-paced changes to the law can prevent people understanding and defending their rights. Cuts to legal aid and frontline services have created increasing need for legal guidance, with marginalised groups disproportionately affected.
Liberty is one of the only organisations delivering free human rights training and information in the UK. Our team of legal experts runs an online information hub, keeping the public informed about new laws that affect their human rights. We also provide in-person training and specialist support to different groups in the community, including young people, activists, disabled people, students and homelessness groups. We urgently need your support to continue delivering these projects in 2026.
