Small Steps provides free group sessions for young children with physical disabilities. We aim to maximise each child's independence by working on all areas of their development. We offer an essential support network for their families, fostering a sense of connection and community for them too.

We are unlocking movement and communication skills in young disabled children helping them reach milestones other children take for granted. We are also connecting and supporting families on their journey - building a community. Evidence shows that the time from birth and through the early years can be transformative to build new skills. This is particularly true for those with neurological conditions as their brain is still developing and therefore has capacity to learn and adapt.
We provide a uniquely designed service that is rooted in the principles of conductive education. Our approach is based on the simple concept of human potential. We offer a weekly two-hour session for children who struggle to move whatever their diagnosis, supporting those with cerebral palsy, or a genetic disorder and others still waiting for diagnosis. We have a waiting list of families needing our service and we are looking to reach more of these families by running more sessions each week.
