Our excellent palliative and end of life care is free of charge to people in Harrow & Brent living with a life-limiting illness. It costs £169 per call for an experienced nurse to answer our telephone Advice Line & offer specialist support to people affected by serious, life-limiting illnesses.

Our patients want the right to choose where they are cared for and eventually die. To have this option, patients and families need easy access to expert advice, support and specialist management of symptoms, ensuring they receive the most appropriate care. In 2024/25, St Luke’s Hospice PALL24 team responded to 6,760 calls and made 119 home visits to our patients, enabling 46% of them to be cared for and die at home, their place of choice. Costs for this specialist service continue to rise.

Our experienced nurses will answer our dedicated telephone Advice Line to offer specialist support to those affected by serious, life-limiting conditions. The line will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Patients, carers, primary healthcare teams, nursing and care home staff and the London Ambulance Service can all access the line to gain advice for people living in Harrow and Brent, helping patients to be cared for whilst remaining in their homes.
