Parent carers face isolation, stress, and poor access to support, worsened for BAME families by language and cultural barriers. 72% report poor mental health; many struggle to navigate services. Our Parent Carer Hub in Bromley will reduce isolation, build resilience, and improve access to inclusive, co-produced support. It will empower carers, strengthen networks, and promote culturally competent services that reflect the diverse needs of all families.
We will establish a Parent Carer Hub in Bromley—a safe, accessible space providing culturally sensitive, multilingual support, peer networks, wellbeing workshops, and information to reduce isolation, build confidence, and improve access to services. The Hub will empower all carers, with tailored support for BAME families, enhance community connections, promote inclusion, and ensure carers can shape the services they use.
