For the past 10 years, SCU has shown that football can drive lasting change for street-connected young people. Yet, many in the UK still lack a platform to advocate for their rights. In the deprived areas of Liverpool, London, Swansea, and Cardiff, the young people we work with are often victims of anti-social behaviour, violence, and discrimination. Lacking access to opportunities, stable support networks, and a voice, they often remain trapped in cycles of marginalization.

By supporting these young people on their journey to the Street Child World Cup 2026 (SCWC), they will gain confidence, empowerment, and the chance to demand their rights. The event will create a platform for the young people to speak about the challenges most relevant to them in front of the world's media, governments, and decision-makers, exposing the issue and instigating long-term change. In turn, they'll become leaders, enabling them to drive change when they return to their communities.
