According to the Department for Education, young people from under-resourced backgrounds are three times less likely to go to a top university compared to more advantaged pupils. This inequality matters. Under-resourced young people are four times more likely to become socially mobile and end up as a high earner if they attend university, helping them to realise their full potential. But without support, these young people can miss out on opportunities that their talent affords them.

At The Access Project we are committed to supporting the most under-represented students and preventing the access gap from growing further. We partner with schools in deprived areas and/or with low rates of university placement, delivering a programme of mentoring, skills coaching, and tuition which is designed to improve students' attainment, understanding, and motivation, giving them the tools they need to succeed in university applications and beyond.
