At Company Three, we support teenagers in Islington to tell their own stories and make their own change through theatre. Our affinity groups create spaces for our Black, LGBTQ+, Muslim girls, boys, and girls members. These are supportive spaces where young people can connect, learn, and celebrate.

Many young people in Islington face exclusion, discrimination and loneliness, especially those from Global Majority backgrounds and LGBTQ+ communities. Across the UK, the backgrounds represented by our Affinity groups are statistically more likely to face discrimination, loneliness, and experience poor mental health. Without supportive spaces to connect and self-express, these young people risk isolation, low self-esteem, and long-term impacts on their wellbeing and opportunities.

Through weekly affinity groups, we provide vital creative spaces where they can creatively express themselves, find the vocabulary to advocate for themselves, find belonging, and build confidence. Without supportive spaces to connect and self-express, these young people risk isolation, low self-esteem, and long-term impacts on their wellbeing and opportunities.
