Gaza is the most dangerous place to be a child according to UNICEF, and in the West Bank children suffer ongoing human rights violations including violent detention and coercive interrogation. We need your help to provide physical and psychological rehabilitation to children traumatised by war.

As the conflict in the Middle East intensifies, the children of Gaza and the West Bank are routinely sustaining life-altering physical and psychological wounds that will last a lifetime. Daily exposure to conflict and distressing situations, life changing injuries, deprivation, displacement, violent arrest, abuse and detention, coercive interrogation, and unimaginable fear and anxiety, are causing untold and lasting damage to the physical and mental health of a whole generation of children.

For Embrace’s Christian partners, the tragedy of dealing with children’s physical and psychological trauma is sadly all too familiar. For more than 60 years, their multidisciplinary teams in the West Bank and now Gaza, have been working with families and children with disabilities, chronic conditions, post-trauma injuries, those needing orthopaedic surgery and rehabilitation, as well as psychological and psychosocial support for Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome (PTSD) and speech-related trauma.
