We’re raising funds to connect groups of young people with their older neighbours so they can get to know each other - and themselves - better. Through our activities we boost wellbeing, increase confidence and build stronger, more connected communities.

There are increasingly few opportunities for people of different generations and backgrounds to connect. This can leave ageist stereotypes going unchallenged and older people being excluded from their communities, all of which negatively impacts older people’s mental and physical health. At the same time, young people are grappling with challenges such as the cost of living crisis and the lasting effects of the pandemic that are affecting their confidence, learning and wellbeing.
We create meaningful and accessible opportunities for older people and young people to connect. Our intergenerational programmes provide a space for younger and older neighbours to meet regularly, create connections, learn together, share skills and make a positive difference to their communities. So far, we have helped more than 3,000 people benefit from an intergenerational connection and older people have volunteered more than 4,000 hours to support young people’s learning.
