Apollo Music Projects brings the magic of live music to children who might not otherwise experience it. We work with primary and special schools in deprived areas of London, transforming children’s lives and enhancing wellbeing through our programme of interactive workshops and concerts.

Many children do not get to experience the joy of live music and this is especially true of children from disadvantaged backgrounds with little to no access to high quality art and culture. Listening to and learning about live classical music can help children in so many ways: as well as developing skills such as concentration and creativity, children can discover new passions and expand their horizons. Most importantly, it enhances children’s wellbeing.
We will partner with schools in underserved parts of London to reach 1,800 children through our unique approach to music education. Our programme takes children on a journey of discovery as we gradually introduce them to the instruments of the orchestra, the musicians who play them and the music they play. Children develop their confidence, understanding and enjoyment of classical music, before experiencing a spectacular symphony orchestra concert at Hackney Empire.
