The local branch of Samaritans for Lewisham, Greenwich and Southwark is part of the national Samaritan network, keeping the phonelines open 24/7. Too many people struggle with feelings that they are unable to talk about. They can fall into a spiral of hopelessness and despair, even leading to feeling suicidal. Government support networks are at full stretch, and even families may not be able to help.
Samaritans offer a safe place to explore feelings in confidence, and emotional support when people are in crisis, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
