Help us to provide weekly practical & emotional home-visiting support to 8 fragile local families. Our crucial early intervention prevents families from possible descent into crisis and breakdown. Support is tailored to each family's needs and is is non-judgemental, confidential and free.

Supported families suffer with diverse issues including: Depression Anxiety Social isolation/Loneliness Post-natal depression Low self-esteem Domestic abuse Children may be neurodiverse, have developmental delay and/or display challenging behaviour. In 2024-25 we supported 107 fragile families (63 with home-visiting): PARENTS: 45% were single parents 61% had complex issues 75% struggled with mental health 62% felt isolated/lonely CHILDREN: 50% were neurodiverse 24% had mental health issues.

A highly-trained volunteer will visit each family weekly, forming a close bond with parents & children - providing bespoke support, friendship & encouragement, a listening ear, offering advice and playing & reading with the children. Depending on need, they will support parents to: Establish routines for children Manage children’s behaviour Advise on healthy eating Access benefits, grants & financial support Use local services/specialist support Get involved in the local community.
