Yippee & Yip4Youth are playschemes offering children with disabilities a fun & friendly place to play, whilst giving their parents a well-earned rest. After 15 years of continuous use, we need a total renewal of our sensory room to restore it to an enjoyable & calming environment.

80% of parents & carers with a disabled child report that there are long term detrimental effects on the health and mental wellbeing of the whole family when they cannot access significant, or any, ‘short breaks’ (disabled playschemes). Access to such schemes are a lifeline for families who are in desperate need of quality places for their children to take part in safe and enjoyable activities, allowing parents some time off to spend with other family members or just relaxing.

Yippee & Yip4Youth are our schemes for those aged 5-17 with disabilities, which take place at the weekends and in the holidays. They allow these children & young people to spend time away from their parents or primary carers. They are essential for letting children with disabilities have fun, experience new things and make friends with children their own age, while allowing parents and carers respite from their often overwhelming & exhausting responsibilities.
