The social and emotional relationship challenges young people face in today’s society are complex. Economic and childhood challenges, misogynistic digital influences and limited school provision are negatively shaping how they learn about healthy relationships. A 2024 Youth Endowment Fund study found that 49% who had been in a relationship said they had experienced controlling or violent behaviours. Young people need trusted and relatable education now for their future safety and happiness.
LMK delivers face-to-face workshops with our talented ‘near-peer Leaders’ in schools and community settings. We provide non-judgemental, relatable education, tackling priority real life issues and exploring the signs of healthy and unhealthy relationships. Our ‘10 Signs framework’ helps young people aged 10-24 to spot and stop unhealthy behaviours – such as possessiveness, manipulation and volatility - in themselves and others, as well as shaping understanding of how to seek help.
