We believe that music should be a part of every child’s journey. We support Gallions Primary School (a state school in Newham, one of the UK’s most deprived boroughs) to offer pupils a rich musical education beyond the National Curriculum: small group and individual lessons, choirs, and orchestras.

Gallions Primary School opened in September 1999 in Newham, East London. Many children in Newham face significant challenges—poverty, displacement, and high educational needs—that put their futures at risk. Gallions Primary School serves this diverse community with many pupils needing extra support. Through music education, Gallions Music Trust helps these children build confidence, focus, and skills, opening doors to greater achievement and a bright future.

Statutory funding for music provision limits what the school is able to offer. This is where Gallions Music Trust steps in. We fund all extracurricular musical activities, such as orchestras, choirs, trips to external performances, extra workshops with professional musicians, as well as bursaries for individual lessons. By offering all these incredible opportunities to pupils, we improve the lives and life chances of some of the most disadvantaged children in the UK through the power of music.
