Every child, no matter their social, emotional, or academic challenges should have the chance to flourish in the life they choose. AllChild finds and supports children and young people before the need for crisis intervention, connecting them to opportunities they need in their school and community.

In 2023/4, 1/5 of all children had a probable mental disorder, almost 1/10 had been suspended or permanently excluded and 1/3 of those eligible for free school meals were persistently absent. Just a quarter of disadvantaged pupils achieved grades of 5 or above in English and maths GCSEs, less than half the proportion of their non-disadvantaged peers. Crisis intervention deals with singular issues, early support and prevention has been deprioritised and, cross-sector support is fragmented.

Working directly with schools, we use unique data methodology and trusted relationships to proactively identify children and young people at the tipping point of need. Then, working through our team of trusted, in-school Link Workers and enabled by joined-up local services and funding, we engage them in two-year Impact Programmes that are tailored to help them build their specific social, emotional, and academic skills. Support includes tuition, mental health support and positive activities.
