We support vulnerable girls' educational and personal needs by providing hygiene products and essential school supplies, resulting in increased class attendance, improved wellbeing and performance in school. We will provide girls with essential items and support so they can feel confident.

Many girls in Ndhiwa face multiple barriers accessing education. The cost of primary school is unaffordable and a low priority for the most vulnerable families. 80% of women and children are multidimensionally poor. Girls who lack basic needs, hygiene products and essential school items due to period poverty are at high risk of child abuse and often drop out of school altogether because of early pregnancy, child marriage, neglect and poverty - this links to the UN's SDG4 Access to Education.
We work with 21 partner schools in Ndhiwa to support the needs of over 600 vulnerable girls to allow them to attend school regularly and maintain their wellbeing. Advice, guidance, essential educational supplies and basic needs for girls and their families will be provided through the 21 Girls Support Groups. Community Engagement in all of the surrounding communities will emphasise the importance of girls' education, upholding their rights and addressing issues such as period poverty.
