NHS cuts have driven urgent demand for community physiotherapy. We need to launch a community-based specialist rehab service offering immediate walking therapy for Stroke, Parkinson’s, and MS patients—boosting early recovery, improving outcomes and wellbeing, whilst reducing long-term care needs.

Each year, around 7,500 Surrey adults acquire a catastrophic life-changing neurological condition. Recovery and immediate rehab is vital, yet NHS pressures and limited physio access mean delays of over 6 months post-discharge. Without urgent therapy, patients risk long-term disability and costly care support. Families and carers also face emotional, physical, and financial strain. Urgent action is required to transform recovery, improve long-term outcomes and reduce this growing burden.
White Lodge offers specialist neuro physiotherapy and fitness services which are subsidised through charitable support to make them affordable. We aim to launch a new walking assessment clinic that delivers faster, more flexible rehab, and gives customers a choice of where they receive their support. This appeal will fund new vital equipment, expand treatment options, and enable 2,000 hours of therapy to be delivered both onsite and in the community.
