It's a tragedy this Christmas; there will be people sleeping out on the streets. It is a national scandal that this is still happening and a public health emergency. We are committed to ending street homelessness by working with people who are, or at risk of, homelessness.

Homeless figures in London are the worst we have seen for decades, and the lack of affordable rents and social housing continues to create a perfect storm of people at risk of losing their homes. We have seen a shocking increase in the number of people using our services. At the last street count, 4,427 people were sleeping rough, over half were doing so for the first time. There has also been a concerning rise in rough sleeping for the 18 - 25 year age group.
At The Passage we act with compassion and urgency. Intervening before people reach crisis point. We aim to help them into accommodation, so they never have to spend even one night on the street. This preventative action protects people from the risks that rough sleeping poses to a person's mental and physical health. For those who do experience street homelessness, we aim to provide a holistic service that provides a safe route away from the street and into sustainable accommodation.
