Childhood goes so quickly. For many children in sub-Saharan Africa, childhood is cut short by violence, conflict and neglect. Together, we can ensure children have the chance to learn and grow through play. Help create joy in childhood for thousands of children today!

In sub-Saharan Africa, childhood is short. Play is essential for children to develop and thrive, but so many miss the chance to just be children due to challenges they face. Girls disproportionately miss out on school. Many teens must leave school to provide for their families, and orphaned children must look after younger siblings. Children with disabilities are isolated without a chance to play because of community stigma. No child should have to fight for their childhood.
We ensure children have an education that meets their needs. Children, especially those with disabilities, learn best through play. We train teachers to use playful, inclusive methods like song, movement, and colourful classroom displays. We provide children with tools like glasses and walking frames, so they aren’t left behind. We work with communities to tackle stigma towards disability and help parents form support groups, so no one feels alone.
