It is a tragic reality that many autistic young people are suffering from long term isolation, struggles with mental health, suicidal thoughts and autistic burnout. Often, this is the result of years of being misunderstood and growing up in a world that wasn't designed for them. They are exhausted from having to communicate their needs and constant struggle to fit in or feel acceptance.
We support autistic 10-17 year olds each year to combat isolation, find friendships, improve their wellbeing and mental health, through online and in-person meet-ups. Our advocacy work influences wider strategic changes and work to create a society that is more understanding and equitable. As an autistic-led charity, we understand how to support young people in our community—helping them build trust and confidence in themselves by showing them they’re not alone.
