At end of life, closeness matters. Our ward beds are too small for loved ones to lie side by side. Help us fund two Cuddle Beds so patients can be comforted by a hug, a hand held, and experience a final moment together. Because dying is the last intimate thing we ever do.

Our current ward beds are too small to comfortably fit two people. This can make it difficult for a parent to lie beside their child, for partners to hold each other, or for loved ones to share a final moment of closeness. Without intimacy and closeness, emotional, spiritual and social pain is harder to ease. Every patient deserves comfort, connection, and dignity at the end of life.
Cuddle Beds help us solve this problem. Being extra wide, they allow a loved one to lie beside a patient - offering physical closeness and emotional support. The low height and removable side rails make it easy and safe for families to access, hold hands, or lie together. Adjustable positioning improves comfort, while central braking and wipe-clean, washable covers ensure hygiene and durability. These beds enable dignity, intimacy, and connection in a patient’s final days.
