It is hard for most of us to imagine what life is like for children with complex medical conditions. Their families are often searching for answers before they get a diagnosis, juggling endless hospital visits, managing medications and navigating treatments and tests. They are often under the care of multiple specialists, at multiple hospitals, but they also face extensive needs beyond traditional healthcare.

We work with NHS Trusts across the UK to identify where the need is greatest and establish Roald Dahl Nurses who provide expert, holistic care. These nurses support families navigating multiple appointments, specialists, and hospitals, and act as a consistent, trusted point of contact. We support our nurses with training, peer learning, and ongoing professional development. We also offer families practical, emotional, and financial help through our Marvellous Family Support Service.
