Almost 4 in 10 children in London are living in poverty. 86% of families report that money worries are making parenting harder. QSA leads a campaigning network, ‘4in10’, of 400 organisations working to improve the lives of children in poverty in the capital. The 4in10 team listen to and amplify the voices of families, then take issues like childcare provision, housing and a London-wide child poverty strategy to politicians and power-holders to create real change.
Nearly 1 in 5 people face serious money worries when paying for a funeral. Down to Earth is the only UK-wide service for people struggling with funeral costs. Our webpages and helpline have a wealth of resources to support people to reduce costs and raise £2,411 on average towards funeral costs. We're also campaigning for wider access to support from benefits, funeral industry regulation and statutory standards for council funerals. Because everyone deserves a meaningful and affordable funeral.
