As we approach the end of our 35th anniversary year, and celebrate the creation of 1,000 life-changing partnerships, we are looking to the future. We are aiming to raise funds to breed, train and partner more life-changing assistance dogs to reach the applicants on our waiting list.

Canine Partners pairs life-changing assistance dogs with physically disabled adults in the UK. Many of our applicants struggle with feelings of disconnect from society due to lack of independence and rely heavily on family and carers to carry out everyday tasks. Due to increasing demand, as well as rising costs associated with training staff and volunteers to breed and train our dogs, our waiting list of applicants remains high.

We provide successful applicants with their canine partner at no cost to them. All our dogs are trained to pick up dropped items, load and unload the washing machine and to fetch help in emergencies. As disability presents itself differently, we tailor the dog's training to meet our applicant's needs. Our beneficiaries often say their canine partner provides constant companionship and reduces isolation. Our dogs reduce reliance on family and carers, increasing feelings of independence.
