Too many deaf children in the UK face barriers to accessing early and effective support for their language and communications development. Just 10% can access Auditory Verbal therapy, a proven intervention to help children learn to listen and speak. Families are held back by limited provision, high costs, and postcode inequality. Early and effective support is vital—whether families choose spoken language, sign language, or both—to ensure equal opportunities and the best start in life.
We provide Auditory Verbal therapy, an early, family-centred intervention helping deaf children learn to listen and speak through play-based techniques. Specialist therapists support both children and parents through in-person and online sessions. We offer bursaries to reduce cost barriers, train professionals to expand access, and campaign for public funding so all families can access this support, wherever they live.
