Young people are facing increasingly complex set of challenges, from poverty, mental health, neurodiversity, & social isolation to difficulties with mainstream education. Many feel defined by their circumstances and limited in their life prospects. Our work empowers young people to step outside their comfort zones and discover strengths they never knew they had. Through their voyaging experience, they develop vital skills and self-esteem which support them as they transition into adulthood.
Our fleet of four 72ft Challenger yachts deliver our 3-voyage programme of Exploration, Empowerment & Leadership. Combining outdoor learning, personal development, social development & practical life skills. Our young people gain real-world skills through 3 increasingly adventurous voyages, whilst exploring marine & coastal environments. Last year, we enabled 1,287 young people to sail with us, 82% were living with disadvantage & would have been unable to take part without financial support.
