Garment workers around the world face routine abuse: unpaid wages, unsafe conditions, harassment, and retaliation for union activity. When they speak out, they’re often ignored, threatened, or fired. Brands continue to profit while workers suffer in silence. LBL intervenes through our Urgent Appeal work to help workers fight back, demand justice, and stop brands from getting away with exploitation. Urgent action is needed to challenge these abuses and ensure workers' rights are respected.

LBL responds to garment workers’ rights violations through Urgent Appeals: targeted campaigns that support workers directly and pressure brands to act. We work with local unions and worker organisations to gather evidence and amplify worker voices. We coordinate direct brand lobbying to push for wage repayment, reinstatement of workers, and protection of union rights. We mobilise public support through petitions, media, and campaigns. We hold brands accountable to human rights abuses.
