On average a UK child is bereaved of a parent every 20 minutes. The resulting grief can affect the whole of their life. This Christmas, AtaLoss aims to raise £45,000 to develop a young people's version of its award-winning The Bereavement Journey®. Your donation will help them access vital support.

1 in 29 children aged 5-16 has lost a parent or sibling. Yet grief in young people is often hidden and unmet. This impacts mental health, learning and social development. 80% of bereaved students feel unsupported; many disengage from education. While excellent specialist support exists, provision is patchy and inconsistent across the UK. We're working collaboratively to ensure more young people can access the community help they need.

We are developing a youth-focused version of our award-winning The Bereavement Journey® programme to provide age-appropriate, structured informal support. Created with experts and young people, it will be accessible through schools, churches and community groups - offering community-based safe spaces to understand grief and build resilience.
