The journey can be long, uncertain, and deeply challenging for the whole family: emotionally, physically, and financially. Spending time in hospital can be isolating for families, especially at Christmas.
Candlelighters provides vital emotional, practical, and financial support to families facing childhood cancer - at Christmas and all year round. Our Family Support Workers offer front-line care in hospitals, helping families navigate the hardest times and reducing the isolation they feel. At Christmas, they make sure no child misses out on the joy of the season - bringing festive magic to the wards through events, activities, decorations, and visits from Santa.
