Anaphylaxis is a serious allergic reaction which can be life-threatening. Fear. Uncertainty. Worry. Confusion. Isolation - all words we hear through our helpline and see in research studies. The emotional weight of managing serious allergies is immense. Many individuals and families feel they’re carrying this invisible burden alone, without access to the understanding, care, or specialist support they deserve. We believe that having access to the right information can help ease the strain.

We are working hard to help tackle the ‘hidden’ emotional challenges that come with living with serious allergies. For individuals, we are developing new services and unique resources that address the psychological impact. Face-to-face training in schools will expand nationwide to help create a safer, more inclusive environment. We’ll continue to work closely with health professionals to support their evolving needs, and grow our comprehensive and independent audit service for food businesses.
